Windows Live is the worst gaming uhhh. accessor? Interface... what the fuck is the name exactly.

Steam has it right, a brilliant system. With the download tabs, the sales, the cheap prices, the excellent support, oh and let's not forget they focus on what you want.

Games for Windows Live..
I have no idea where to start, this is honest to the A.I. Director so terrible it makes me fear opening up a windows live game. I buy all my games through Steam, and okay I can kind of handle needing 13 different accounts to play all my games (comrade, ubisoft and things like that), mainly because the games aren't tethered to the account. Windows live does this, they make you enter in a key so if your account shits it royally you are basically screwed. I already have the game tied to my Steam account, why would I want it tied to another?
Oh and the updating system, I will open up a game, not realizing it carries the curse that is windows live, and it is all 'oh hey, you need to update' so I try from in game, I try again, every time it supposedly updates I try playing and the darn thing says it has to update again. So what I do is just go to the darn website and download it there, where I spent an hour trying to figure out how to turn parental control off (as a 18 yr old I find this rather redundant as my parent account is a second email of mine anyways). So I open the program and it has an error saying I cannot log in, by this point I have reached Facebook rant time. IN ALL CAPS. I then try to log in in game, this works, finally. I play 20 minutes of the game in total because I spent soo much time TRYING to play. So thank you Windows Live, for making me cry manly tears.

I hate you

Also, service is terrible, I feel like the nerdy kid in the corner again and Microsoft is the hugely popular guy who doesn't really give a flying fuck about me. T.T

Gaming Music

I was playing Mass Effect today while blasting pendulum out my half working speaker (It is the left one so technically I can't really hear things to my right...ehhhhh.... I am only playing hard. xD) And got myself thinking, Gaming music.
On one hand:
I will listen to the game soundtrack, especially for the likes of Dragon Age (shitty game, excellent soundtrack), it definately adds to the immersion, I mean the music was built to compliment the game.

but on the other hand:
sometimes I feel like blasting something to take away the 'mundaness' we sometime encounter in games, come on, you know what I am talking about, after the 6th thrasher monster I would prefer something I can...'rock out to'.

My other excuse is that I am just terrified of the setting, an example of this is cave exploring in minecraft, yes it is stupid to be afraid of a square zombie, but the sounds make me jump out of my pants... you know...if I wore pants while gaming. so I blast the music to make me less of a pussy. So yes I admitted it, I sometimes listen to music so I don't cry manly tears.

Next post: some screenshots of games I have played this week.
