Minecraft Beta 1.4, or more importantly WOLVVVEESSS!!!111!!

So I played the multiplayer version recently, and managed to get an army of wolves. Colour me silly, but I quite like the idea. You may not feel it, but Minecraft can be scary, and knowing a white fluffy thing has my back makes the game a little less scary. That and you have a mound of fur protecting your arse from being eaten by zombies. I also found it quite useful when dungeon raiding, the monsters don't seem so keen on attacking them back, so I would find dungeons, send in the wolves, and reap the rewards. I have always liked the idea of companions / pets in games. It is why I installed the Fenrir mod for Oblivion, I mean we have strong bonds to our pets in real life, why not in game? The heroes you read about always have 'steeds', so so should my darn Oblivion / misc character. I also think *okay line between game and reality getting blurred....* that surviving battle with your 'pet' helps that bond. I end up being more attached to my pet than any other character, hell I would have Fenrir over Kaiden any day...ONCE AGAIN: NOT A FURRY.
tl;dr Event hough the companions turn out to be really stupid A.I. I can't help but get attached, it has my back, and is too darn stupid to abandon me in battle for someone who will actually win.
